A woman who is a native and citizen of Mexico petitioned to cancel the order to remove her from this country after she used a false Social Security number. She argued her intention was not nefarious and that she used the number only to obtain employment. The Ninth Circuit denied her petition, pointing out that A.R.S. § 13-2006(A)(1) reads: “A person commits criminal impersonation by . . . (a) assuming a false identity with the intent to defraud another.” (Hernandez de Martinez v. Eric H. Holder (Ninth Circuit; October 24, 2014) 770 F.3d 823.)
